San Diego Orthopaedic Institute, Inc. is the oldest orthopaedic medical practice in San Diego County. Our strength lies in the depth of education and experience of our physicians and clinical staff.
We offer comprehensive care in all areas of orthopaedics, including: Sports Medicine, Hand, Foot, Ankle, Spine, Joint Replacement and Minimally Invasive Surgery. We accept most major insurances, including PPO’s, Medicare, MPMG, SMMG, and Workers’ Compensation.
Who We Are
Founded in 1947 by Dr. Frank West, San Diego Orthopaedic Institute, Inc. is the oldest orthopaedic medical practice in San Diego County. Our strength lies in the depth of education and experience of our physicians and clinical staff. SDOA has a diverse team of physicians who can diagnose and treat a wide range of surgical and non-surgical musculoskeletal conditions. We offer comprehensive care in all areas of orthopaedics, including: Sports Medicine, Hand, Foot, Ankle, Spine, Joint Replacement and Minimally Invasive Surgery. We accept most major insurances, including PPO’s, Medicare, MPMG, SMMG, and Workers’ Compensation.
SDOA has been the team doctors for the San Diego State University Aztecs since 1998.
All SDOA physicians are board-certified and have additional fellowship training in a specialized area. Each one shares a similar insistence on excellence in patient care.
